Hello everyone - New to the forums, and also new(ish) to poi. Although I've owned a set of poi for about a year, I've only just begun spinning on a regular basis in the past couple months, using the Poi Spinning Basics With Pele's Element and Art of Poi DVDs. I'm getting to the point where I can do just about all the moves from these DVDs, and I'm wondering what would be a good choice or choices for more DVDs to continue with my learning. Encyclo-poi-dia 1/2? Poi Technique? Scales of Poi? Adventures in moves? Or something else?

Basically, I can do most of the basics - 3 bt weave, tunrs, butterflies, waves, etc - more or less everything from the DVDs I have. Any suggestions on a "next step" DVD would be greatly appreciated.

BTW, I do own the poi spinning book, but find that I prefer to learn from DVDs.

Thanks in advance.

Scales of poi for sure! It definitely helped me be able to be more flowy instead of just going trick to trick. The encyclopedias are excellent as well. Lots of luck in your poi adventure.

a friend of mine let me borrow "encycol-poi-dia volume 2" which has been really helpful. honestly though, if you're cheep and live somewhere you can access youtube, that'll be a near comprehensive source if you're willing to look.

Would suggest not bothering with DVDs, and just going on youtube or the FB tech poi group.

Playpoi.com - pretty neat site, nice place to start out with and very good tutorials.

Drexfactor - literally hundreds of videos on poi, concepts and tutorials.
