Posted:Hi all - hope you can help me out. I'm the KidZone Crew Chief for the Ottawa Folk festival. Sophie from Mini-Cirque is coming to do a workshop, and I think it would be amazing if the kids had their own poi to take home so that they can continue to practice.

I need ideas for a Poi Making workshop!! It has to be fairly easy, and cheap to make, but still give the kids something to practice with.

Accepting all and any ideas!! Thanks everyone!

Posted:Socks with 90-120g of beans/rice. Simple and effective.

Other options would need some sewing or something, so are probably not as useful for you.

'We're all mad here. I'm mad, you're mad." [said the Cat.]
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "Or you wouldn't have come here."

Posted:Just remember to put the rice in a plastic bag and tape it up so you don't end up with kids swinging rice fountains because the socks develop a hole wink

A couple of balls short of a full cascade... or maybe a few cards short of a deck... we'll see how this all fans out.
