Hi all - hope you can help me out. I'm the KidZone Crew Chief for the Ottawa Folk festival. Sophie from Mini-Cirque is coming to do a workshop, and I think it would be amazing if the kids had their own Poi to take home so that they can continue to practice.

I need ideas for a Poi Making workshop!! It has to be fairly easy, and cheap to make, but still give the kids something to practice with.

Accepting all and any ideas!! Thanks everyone!

Socks with 90-120g of beans/rice. Simple and effective.

Other options would need some sewing or something, so are probably not as useful for you.

"You must be," said the Cat, "Or you wouldn't have come here."

Just remember to put the rice in a plastic bag and tape it up so you don't end up with kids swinging rice fountains because the socks develop a hole wink

A couple of balls short of a full cascade... or maybe a few cards short of a deck... we'll see how this all fans out.
