The guy to speak to is apparently JP, PM me for the number I have if you have not come across him.

Otherwise, there is apparently a meet in Observatory somewhere, I think Cool Runnings, but I am not sure if anything is still happening, since I heard about it a couple years ago.

Your other option: get up to Grahamstown. wink
Although that is pretty much just me.

I assume you've found the FireTribe by now. If JP is who I think then you probably have.

Anyways. I play devil sticks mostly, and I'm in Cape Town. I'm always up for a spin, especially if flames are involved. PM me if you want to organise a jam or something smile

Ask me about flow, and prepare to listen for the rest of your life, or tell me to stop talking eventually...

Yeah Helix is the guy you want to meet up with when in CT. He is a really cool guy. Otherwise you can meet many more south african based spinners at FireDesire.co.za

Haven't lit up in ZA but grew up in Zim. Will have to check out FireDesire.co.za. Can you tell me in general, besides that site, how big is spinning and other firedancing in ZA, ZW, Lesotho, Botswana, Namibia?

molten cheers,

Hey
I'm visiting from the states until june, living in plumstead. I've been looking for some way to continue learning and practicing my poi and have been looking for some kind of group. I contacted firetribe but they never got back to me. Any suggestions?

Hey
can you tell me about firetribe? I've been wanting to join a group. I emailed them but I never heard back. Are there public classes available?

Kiana, have you been on their website? There's lots of info on there about classes, and an amazing gallery for inspiration.

Otherwise, they have a phone number you can try smile 082 346 7400

Give them a ring and if you don't come right shout and I'll ask some of the Durbz guys if they know how to get a hold of them smile

FireMike: In general, and in my experience, technical skill is fairly low, but people are mostly enthusiastic. Different mindset to me I guess.

There are a small amount of more technical spinners around though.

The Cape Town scene has some good poiple, and I hear JHB also. Still getting to know the east coast scene.
