I recently made my fire snakes which are just a tad on the ridiculous side laugh3 They are insanely heavy but I still am in love with them. And they GUZZLE fuel.



The only luck is bad luck.

neck wrap! neck wrap! lol. May I suggest a weight at the end so they are slightly easier to control.

NNOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! NO MORE WEIGHT!!!!! I'm not sure if you read the description but each snake is already 1.75lbs DRY! They're at the edge of my workable range laugh3

what knot/weave did you use? i've got a load of kevlar i need to use...

I used 1/2" x 1/8" Kevlar flat wick. And I used the corkscrew stitch. I sugget you make sure you can handle the weight first or at least not make them as big as I did laugh3 I'm lucky I can spin them and I learned from this vid I need to spin them faster.

don't worry about weight, i've used 3pound firepoi before and quite like them, you need to adapt your footwork and balance but much fun smile

Mason, that simply means you haven't yet played with an unreasonable amount of fire.

Fire snakes certainly fit into the categories that can egt up there, but i agree with LiquidTrance, practice for a while, and you learn to adjust for the weight.

It's the heat and fuel spray that takes longer to adjust for...
