If there is anything you want to shout from the rooftops but dont have a ladder, then this is for YOU! (plus it is a lot safer than climbing on top of a building)

Package is MASSIVE I now need to work out how to get it home from work confused2

A couple of balls short of a full cascade... or maybe a few cards short of a deck... we'll see how this all fans out.

I am so tempted to say it....
The joys of comments out of context. wink

On a more serious note: What do you plan to use it for? Astronomy or just looking at stuff in the distance?

What kind of a telescope did you get? I really want to get a new one. Mine is really old and doesn't work very well. I wish they weren't so expensive.

Moon and planets mostly, It's a celestron 130eq - 5 inch newtonian reflector. The starting eyepieces are a but too powerful with too narrow a field of view so tricky to find stuff, however I plan to get a lower power piece.
It's nice, has an equatorial mount so can use polar alignment to find stuff if necessary. Cost gbp118

Ooh hop thinks its already my birthday grin laugh3

WOOT! I started my own fire group late last year after years of performing in other people's, man it is soooo much work! But this week we've been taken on by a stage touring various festivals so thats a summers worth of bookings sorted grin

Now we just need to get the show sorted! And costumes. And safety gear. And PA system. And finish off the website... *passes out*

Where did they both go? frown

Your local fire marshal should be able to tell you anything you need to know. Keep in mind that it is not okay to spin fire in most parks.

List of festivals I'll be taking my group to this summer is starting to come through. Definite for Kendal Calling, almost certainly for Beatherder and theres a clutch of others I'm not allowed to talk about yet smile Website is getting there (www.darkspark.co.uk) too.

Best thing though? Nothing clashes with Play festival! YAY!

Well, I'm not saying we'll be there, but Secret Garden Party, Boomtown fair and Shambala are supposed to be pretty good wink Depending where you are in 'the back of the north' them Summer Saturnalia is a nice smaller festival we'll be at.

If you spot us at any of them come say hi, we'll be giving out little pressies to people who've liked our facebook page, but sure I could extend that to HoP members too grin
