Posted:I used to spin (fire, LED, and ribbon) quite a bit back in the day, and now I'm getting back into it again. I just recently moved into Richmond, VA (from a not-very-far-away other part of Virginia) and was hoping to find some like-minded people in the area. I know the River City Burners are out and about at First Fridays and such, and generally where there is poi to be watched there are people wanting to learn it, so there must be some of you out there somewhere!

I was only just getting into less than basic moves (orbitals, stalls, variations on the 5 beat weave, etc.) when I was spinning regularly, so I still have a LOT to learn. I'm always happy to help beginners with the basics and I'm so eager to get into things that are a little more advanced.

Posted:Hey Supah. I'm in the Hampton Roads area. My wife and I could easily make it up to Richmond. Shall we organize something?

Also, if your looking for something in the region that is already going, have you seen this group in DC?

Posted:I'm not sure why I've had such major issues finding any information on this! EpitomeOfNovice, would you mind linking me to the site and/or the Yahoo group? I'm apparently not capable of finding them on my own....

Nyquist, seeing as I'm basically a beginner I'd be willing to organize something but I'm not sure how beneficial that would be to anyone. Thanks for the link to the DC group! I used to be up in that area pretty frequently but not so much anymore.
