If there is anything you want to shout from the rooftops but dont have a ladder, then this is for YOU! (plus it is a lot safer than climbing on top of a building)

Finally, after 33 years (give or take) of cycling, I've decided to buy a really nice bike. But after going to many bike shops (where the advice is diverse &, I suspect, biased towards the max commission) & surfing the web until the wee hours for several weeks - MY HEAD HURTS!!!

How the hell am I supposed to choose between all the makes & models of road bike when (for the price) they all seem to have the same Shimano components anyway? Might just get the Orbea if only because nobody else seems to have one (& to hell with the expense)...

This is gonna be long and annoying. frown

My left knee and my back hurt.
I have final exams coming and I suck at every class I go to.
I need to turn in my portfolio in two months and I have nothing decent to turn in really. Cause I suck at art, too.
To be honest, I suck at pretty much everything.
And two out of three colleges I've applied to have too many people applied, so I'm left out for my grades are too bad.
All the people I know are so amazing I don't deserve to be in their company. And I feel bad about tagging along them.
And another problem, too big, too serious and scary to talk about.

Don't let me come down with depression again. I really, really don't have time for that right now.

For that matter I was invited to be involved with some freakshow performing at Fringe Festival in New Orleans.

A lot of us feel like that sometimes. Like an impostor somewhere we don't belong, because we're not talented or clever enough. It's almost universally not true. The most talented people often feel unworthy.

Find someone to talk to confidentially, best to get this stuff off your chest with someone else, it gets much easier to think about it rationally that way.

Last thing, you're human. This means you're just as deserving of love, respect and success as anyone. You're as innately worthy as anyone else.

I hope things brighten up, soon. HOP is a very supportive community, so it's good that you're here. I wish you well, and I'm sure I'm not alone. You can PM me if you want someone anonymous to talk to smile
