hey very quickly guys..
xp users only..
i need a copy of the file
exeldr32.exe which is located in the system32 folder or your windows folder.
i got a virus which has only in the past day or two been found and i got it through hotmail before they could do anything.
without this file, i cant open ANY files with .exe as the extension. this includes my anit virus progs and firewall which i need as i am an "always on" connection
for some reason outlook is working..
could you please find the file and send it to me at jon.kneller at ntlworld.com

Cant help you I'm afraid........do you know what the virus is called?
Thought it was kinda funny that outlook is the only program working.....must a joke from the one that made the virus.....or it could be a bug in Outlook that made it imune ....
Hope you get rid of it...few things worse that computer viruses.........

problem over...i hadnt properly read the info on the page..
downloaded the .com file and it now works...thank god.

i can fix your problem in 3 steps.
1) throw away your spy-ware computer.
2) to clense the evil burn it.
3) buy the new g5 mac.

if you had a virus there is only one choice, you need to do a full format of you sys, and start from scratch, one a virus is in your sys you can get rid of it, but you have no idea what its left behind!
i am at work doing a virus machine now, and its the same advce, format all your drives, and your MBR and thats the only way to get rid!
