I couldn't find a topic regarding this, s'yeah, my apologies if there is one.

I know people who use nomex gloves when they spin with fire poi to enable hand wraps and spiral wraps, now I'm just wondering if pure leather exterior gloves - although not as specialized or designed for this purpose - would also do.

S'yeah, would leather gloves also work for fire poi contact stuff on hands? Anyone else have experience on this topic?

Thanks ahead!

yeah leather works, i make my armguards from leather jackets i pick up at charity shops, get one thats way too small for you so the arms are almost skintight on you, cut the sleves off just below the elbow, punch holes for laces to keep them tight and make a hole for your thumb, works fine. be sure to wash them out regularly(or you will just be wearing highly flammable gloves) and they will last for a good while:)

even chuck norris can't pin you down if your on fire

Alrighty, so pure leather works, but I have to wash them off each time to make sure they don't get soaked in fuel.

Thanks!
