Well, seeing as we are starting to take over the

"Offical HOP "I just learnt a new move" thread", I thought we should contain this bit just to jugglerisng and the throwing and dropping of balls, clubs, rings and other miscellaneous juggling props.

Today I mothered learning 441.

I had a few throws of 531 but only 1 catch. I think my 5 is too high.

Note for the mods: I DEMAND on behalf of the jugglers on this site, as has been done with the aforementioned "Poi moves thread", that this one is made a sticky thread.

Otherwise its just favouritism really....

441 = brilliant for learning 4 clubs.

Today -

Qualified 5551 in triples back into a cleanly finished run of 4c.
Qualified 5551 in doubles and back into the fountain pattern.

(Not tried that siteswap before)

Can also juggle 4 clubs triples for approx 20 catches. That's 16 more than yesterday, it just clicked.

I never thought of that but yeah I suppose your right smile

Next on the list is boxes and alternate double under the arm throws, nearly got it so shouldn't take too long.

How are you with 5 clubs now?

Cleanly flashed a 4club shower from a cold start. Attempted to get into the shower using a 56 excited state (I think). That failed.

I also managed a 5551 in triples to a run of 4 club singles! Only once though. Had one round of 7333 too.

It's been a while since I learnt much cos I've been distracted with poi, but today I sorted out cross-arm normal 3b cascade (as opposed to reverse cascade) - not exactly jedi but I'm happy with it all the same smile

Also, my 4 ball fountains and pistons are coming along most pleasingly.

nice k, gonna try that now, normal cascade, crossed arm, hmm.
i've managed to make the box a real box now, with a lid! its like the box, then straight into machine, and then change direction (hard bit)
err, lots of mess variations, going smoothly through 1/2 mess both sides, full mess, 1 hand claw mess, then other hand claw, then both hand claw, nice and clean. also the occasional penguin catch thrown in, and odd back of hand. just need to get it on the back of my hands then i'll be happy

Don't think I've actually seen all clawed mills mess, that's pretty sweet... But back of the hand mills mess? eek I look forward to seeing that at Fal6 wink

The box is one of those tricks I really think I should have got round to nailing by now... that and 441...

*ambles off to put some effort in*

more silliness with machine and box things, multiplex to cross arm catch with 1 hand penguin (both sides)
not new but a nice pick up thingy, three balls on floor, in a row, cartwheel, picking up 2 outside balls with hands and middle ball with teeth, cartwheel, picking 1st and 2nd balls and landing upright with barefoot on last ball, ready to flick it up
and i'm getting there with dropping a ball from behind my head mid cascade - inspired by double staff transfer.
sorry Nx will learn quicker in the future to avoid you multiple posting tongue (runs out of lecture to practice)

super bent arms!
just read the first few posts ever on this thread, yes, i have just learnt that my 3's are too high in 531, my trouble is, should the 5 be going like a normal cascade or reverse? i think it looks prettier in reverse but i cant get it consistent, sometimes reverse, sometimes normal.
also with 441, the siteswap computor thingy shows the 1 becoming 4 on the inside of the last 4, and i do it round the outside as it gives more time, am i cheating?
yeah cole, manu laude is sick, i've got the full vid if you want (to fat boy slim this time) yeah, i learnt handstand mouth pick ups from the snake thingy in breakdancing, my teacher loved it when he saw me doing that in performance smile

i have the fatboy slim howie edit of that act too smile

have you checked out manu's new(ish) website? i soooo need to see that 'flying wings' act ubblove

for 531 you can do it any way you like - that's why siteswap rocks smile

for learning 531 though, i'd recommend you aim for all normal (inside) throws until its fairly solid and then go for some simple variations with reverse throws and such.

as for 441, the throw type variations should be fairly quick to pick up once you have the basic trick down - and there's no such thing as cheating!

multiplex (2) in a vertical stack, turn somewhere between 90 and 180 degrees and catch them in vert stack behind back. i've only done this while messing around with 2 so far,
i've also satrted playing with 2 doing columns and umbrellas with weird arm crossing catc/throw combos, i think i've done this before but never upped it properly to 3, maybe i'll do that today...
