that seems a really poor choice to try and run a competing event on the same week as EJC. It is after all the biggest circus arts festival in Europe and that will take the vast majority of your audience, not to mention the teachers that you're going to need. Can you not change it to the week after?

This event sounds amazing, I am trying to join circus arts and martial arts myself and I would love to come along and teach some poi and rope dart but I will be going to the EJC.

I'm afraid we can't change the dates now - when we were looking at dates last year, there was no such clash.

Furthermore the next week is the Crawley juggling convention-and we're really not going out there to compete with UK events. I'm not sure of the ticket prices for EJC, but I expect us to be cheaper for UK based people by the time you factor in travel etc.

Additionally, we're not *just* aiming to get the jugglers/spinners in - we want to pull in dancers, martial artists, alternative therapists and musicians.

I'm afraid there will always be people who can't attend frown but unfortunately we can't organise an event just for them

we have a placeholder page up at www.elementsofflow.com

We should have the website up and running by the end of next week and ticket sales opening up a couple of weeks after that - if all goes to plan!

Any specific circus skills enquiries should be directed to guy(at)elementsofflow.com

Lazy Angel, your festival looks amazing, I really hope it works out.

I would love to come and teach rope dart but i don't think i'll be in the country yet. If the festival works and you are able to run another one in 2011 could you please make sure it doesn't clash with the EJC (6 Aug - 14 Aug) I want to attend both ideally and i would love to learn more martial arts and a festival centred around that stuff would be amazing!

Thanks and good luck!!

Good luck.

This sounds so amazing....

Sadly I am on the wrong continent for anything like this. frown

Thanks guys - if all goes well and we have a next year, we will definitely not be clashing with the EJC (the date was a complete surprise to us) - it is really hard to find a spot on the calendar that doesn't clash with something these days though...

Pre-reg Tickets should be on sale by the end of this week smile

looks amazing. I unfortunately won't be in the country yet (arrriving in september). I would just suggest that somewhere you need to say how much tickets are. I can see it's 5 pound off but 5 pound off what?

I hope it succeeds so i can come in 2011.

I love Bellydance, especially Tribal <3
Unfortunately I can't afford kennels for my dog plus ticket price as we have little cash and many things already booked frown
I shall definitely keep this in mind for next year though. Hope it goes well!
Noticed you're in Cambridge. I could be moving there soon if job application works out.

you could always volunteer wink

hopefully we'll be more dog friendly next year - we've kept pets out of the equation for now for simplicity's sake.

Send me a PM if you do move to Cambridge - I'll be able to tell you where to go to get your tribal and circus fix smile

Oooooo...yes please crazy Lol
Will indeed let you know smile
I'm struggling to find any tribal bellydance this way. I'm doing egyptian and studying dvds/youtube for my tribal fix. Not quite the same though. There's no one to say 'Do it this way' or give me advice. I suppose the other side of that is I'm more likely to produce my own unique style grin So it can't be all bad. I'd still love to take lessons though.
I can understand why dogs are generally not allowed. You start saying yes and all of a sudden you have a million dogs wandering around & not every dog is friendly & not everyone likes them. Plus people have a habit of letting them roam free. I'm not convinced the hecticness of a festival would be particularly good for all dogs anyway. Unfortunately, the other side of it is that you get people who bring them anyway and keep them locked up in camper vans all week/wknd frown
