okay so I've only been seriously practicing poi for about a week now and while I have been learning tricks from this site, for the most part I've just been free spinning to music, then today I noticed just from messing around I was already doing moves that ar ein the tutorials section.

But there is one move I already learned on my own, that is a 3 beat weave, but I can't quite tell from the videos if what I'm doing is a three beat weave, or a 3-beat weave with a turn.

There are a few others that just aren't coming to mind.

but anyways, if I were to get around to making a short video of me doing the moves, could someone help me ideantify them?

Same here, I just got done with a youtubing session on poi spinning grin

And someone just commented on my New Year's video (5th burn) and said great job, I'm already better than him. Would that be anyone on here by chance? Or just some random guy that felt like boosting my mood grin

Sorry it took me so long to get back abou this.

I realized I was just doing a regular forward 3 beat, and not a turn, since I tried doing the reverse, and failed.

So I'm practicing the reverse 3 beat weave now and THEN I'll learn to do the weave with a turn, then a fountain n. n

And the other one I didn't know the name of that I was doing turned out to be like a 2-beat weave (or verticle corkscrew according to a friend's naming standard XD)

... speaking of which I'm over due for a poi sessions *runs off*

Um, windmill? I think that's what he means by "vertical corkscrew"

Are your hands at your head? If they are, then it's the windmill, and, well, it is a vertical corkscrew, but it's not called that.

lol no, not a windmill.

What it is, it likea 3-beat weave going from left to right, and visa vera, butIt's not really a 3-beat, because it's missing thw wind-unwind wrist motion, so it like... make the infinity symbol.

lol
