Anyone seen it? I got abit emotional towards the end and 'Dancer in the Dark' has held it's title with No.1 film to cry to for a long while. It seriously made me consider how I look at nature and our place in it. Sorta makes me feel like I'm a caretaker and I have to say I'm not doing my job properly.

Saw it yesterday. If you see movies for the storyline, don't bother.(It's basically a very unoriginal story with a few humoristically over-the-top characters, and with a preachy message).. But if you like to look at pretty animation, then it's definitely the movie for you grin .

I could tell from the trailers that it wouldn't be a movie i would enjoy. But i think it would be fun to see in IMAX 3D. So thats what imma do.

totally agree. although i found it hard to watch in 3D, it seemed in some interior scenes only parts of the frame had been made 3D and the background was still 2D, played with my vision, that said the panoramas were pretty shiney (but for 200 million what do you expect?).

i couldnt help seeing a parallel with the english invasion of australia and i just kept thinking "no, the indiginous people never win, this movie lies! DAMN YOU HOLLYWOOD". and i cringed so many times at the script, they couldnt have used more stolen lines if they'd taken the script from another movie.

maybe im just too critical, but i think in hollywood of late theres some correllation that goes:

more money spent on cgi
less importance placed on decent story and script

My mate is criticising the movie because it wasn't scientifically accurate and has been going into great detail about how the scientific inaccuracies are so inaccurate.

I'm wondering if I should tell her that it's a friggen science fiction movie!!!!

TJF: That's an alarming news story, but in the age of video game rehab I'm not at all surprised.

The movie really isn't my kind of fare so I haven't seen it and probably won't until it's a rental or on HBO, but wow! I don't know what's with society these days...
