Posted: also i might add, for a basic isolation, you're poi head and hand are competing for the same spin time so you isolate the middle of your poi, which you probably already knew. A good way i worked on isolation is start with your dangling and then try to isolate your poi just dangling, kinda like a stirring motion, and then when thats comfortable try and bring it up right in front of you on your wall plane. also when you feel as if spinning isolation is getting better, try spreading your arms and spin a beat like... @-o-@ and then bring an isolation in to the middle for a beat like \@/ then back out for another beat and rinse and repeat the process (the dashes and slashes are your arms and the @ signs are your poi spinning) =) hope that helps and makes sense.
