So I didn't see the red light because of the sun on the windshield and ran it. And got T-boned by another car at about 30 MPH.

I'm fine. The car is totalled (well, it's not official, but the frame is slightly warped and the front pax wheel is off-true...you do the math). The car was brand-new, about 8 months old with 4,600 miles on it.

It was a Toyota Prius. The pax airbags went off, protecting my boyfriend who was in the car with me. The frame held, even if it deformed a bit. We're alive. I have a bruise on my left thigh. He slightly cut his hand. Our necks and backs are a bit tight.

And we're alive and whole.

When I get that check, you can bet I'm going right back and buying a new Prius. I called Toyota today to tell them that.

Drive safely, everyone.

hug glad to see you're still with us doc

Cars are quite literally a pain.

A couple of balls short of a full cascade... or maybe a few cards short of a deck... we'll see how this all fans out.

Another good car in a crash Ford either a Focus or a Fiesta.
Have been hit by a van doing 40mph in my focus and both me and car survived. And I fell asleep behind the wheel of the fiesta (I know, but I was young stupid and had only had the car 12 days) I survived with a bruise on my head where the rear view mirror came off and bounced off of me lol, car didnt make it.

Glad you two are okay though

Eesh.. I just bought a car a few weeks ago after writing my last one off nearly three years ago by spinning it round on a motorway (I think I hit a patch of oil, does freak me out a bit that I really still don't know what happened, I don't think I was doing anything odd) right in front of a 42-ton truck, with both my parents in the car, I was picking them up from the airport coming back from holiday- sort of cancelled out the relaxation..
Still amazed no-one got hurt in that one, a few minor cuts was it. Staring down a truck which has nowhere to go but smack into you is not a pleasant experience.

Glad you're OK anyway.. now don't do it again.

If that's okay with you?
