I assure you it is very real. There are a bunch of recipes you could look up and try. It's basically leave some cooked bacon in a bottle for a while. lol imagine that in your morning bloody mary!

the basic premise of this seemingly psychotic culinary adventure, being that if:
everything savoury tastes better with bacon in it ANDeverything sweet tastes better coated in chocolate
what would happen if you combined the two?
while I haven't tried it myself, I agree with a couple of the respondents, in that it would most likely work better with very high percentage bitter-sweet chocolate.

ah yes, but bacon lovers surely must go hand in hand with lamb lovers, it may not be as salty or thin, or even made from the same animal, but its just as tasty and much more melt-in-your-mouth...mmm especially with mint jelly. not mint sauce. which would not go well with bacon...or perhaps it would...:ponders:
