Posted:Hi all

Many years ago, my girlfriend and I saw lots of Poi performers when we were in Thailand and we always said 'We want that at our Wedding if we get married!!'.

Anyway, fast forward a few years and the date is now set and we are trying to find some Poi performers to do a show for us and the other 50 guests!

We're getting married on Saturday July 18th 2009 at a place about 20 miles from Bordeaux airport in France. It's an outdoor wedding and there's lots of space to perform.

If you are interested or know somebody who maybe interested, please let me know ASAP.

We are fairly flexible on ideas for the show, except we would like the performance to be fast and amazing!

As this is a wedding, obviously safety and quality are paramount so experience is essential!

Look forward to hearing from you.

kind regards

MarcoPolo

I think that you are best advised to pay for a professional crew for this kind of thing, where you want a real pizzazz wow factor at your special day, as well as the safety and technical skills. Also you can get groups who do a variety- not just fire poi, but stilts, UV, juggling, staff, hoops etc with great costumes and people skills for greeting guests etc. As the saying goes.. the quality is remembered when the price is forgotten....

Here are some suggestions to start you off.. I'm sure other HoPpers may add to the list
FlameOz
www.flameoz.com (based in UK, travel all over, very multiskilled, stilts, balloons etc)

Burnt Toast (Also UK based, but maybe not for the catering... wink

br>
Fire Fantasy
http://www.firefantasycrew.com/index.php?p=2&lang=eng
br>(French based group, excellent poi, also shadow play and martial arts based)

Hah - she wishes wink
Burnt Farl is a sub-set of Toast. A bit like the A-Team only not as good and without the cigars.

Besides, she's far too organised for Toast. We enforce a rigorous slacking policy.

Why rehearse when you can party?

www.robthorburn.co.uk (with a large crew of top performers available to create a perfect show with)

I get extra kudos too, for being an honorary toastee (though that brings the toast overall slackness levels unacceptably near to 'not slack')

also I have the opportunity to come and see the site beforehand as I will be in le gers before July, passing through Bordeaux.

Keep us posted!
