Every year the Durham City Jugglers organise a two day convention. It's really good and if you want to find out more about it you can look at:

https://www.durhamjugglingconvention.co.uk/

This year we decided to have it filmed! Nathan from Nathan Rae Productions stepped up and filmed the event for us. He then shook some magic DVD editing dust on the footage and compiled up a nice DVD for us.

It's got footage of the daytime juggling and unicycling, the games, a sample of the workshops, and a full hours worth of the show and the music video trailer. You can see that here:

https://www.nathanrae.co.uk/static.php?page=durham

The Durham City Jugglers are a charitable lot. So much so that we are giving the convention DVD away for free. Feel free to download, burn, copy and distribute amongst your friends - but we'd appreciate it if you didn't try to sell the DVD.

Due to the size of the file (3.9 Gb), we've decided to initially release it via Bittorrent[1]. You can get it here:

https://juggling.myfi.org/durham2008.iso.torrent

At some later time we will make it available for direct download.

Once you have the DVD image (in iso format), you can burn it to a DVD using your choice of DVD burning software[2].

Alternatively you can contact Nathan Rae Productions and talk with Nathan - who has offered to burn and post DVD's to people for a small cost (covering materials, p&p and time). You can contact him via his webpage here:

https://www.nathanrae.co.uk

Thanks from (and to) the Durham crew, Nathan and the TOP'ers. Hope to see you all at the next convention.

A few things came together at the right time and the free DVD project was born.

I suspect Ronans poi routine will be the highlight of the DVD for many HOPers, but there is a whole lot of other good things in there.

Enjoy.

Ewano - who is quite into the whole Ronan style poi thing..

Did I mention that the file is seeded on a machine in an ISP office? I was getting 20 Mb/s download from the torrent when I grabbed my copy...

Using BTor was primarily to ease the burden on the server pipe.

Happy downloading..

Ewano - who is happy for you to stick the file on rapidshare if you want to..

yeah but even if you rar the file its not going to compact down that much.

don't you have to be a member to d/l big files from rapidshare ? or split them into lots+lots of little files and i think there's still a restriction on how many files you can d/l in a certain amount of time for non-members?

@ewano - 20mb/s = nice wink

Well..

The main server seems to have held up well, so here is the direct download link for anyone who was unable to use Bittorrent to get it:

Ewano - who is looking forward to hearing what Ronan says about his routine on the DVD..

Great video, I really liked one of the pin jugglers in the first video.

After watching the show I have to say I really was swept away by the diabolas guy, Ronan was predictably exceptional.

Glad you liked it. Maybe I can help identify the pin (club) juggler you liked so much.

What did he look like, and what colour of clubs was he juggling? Glasses etc..

Ewano - who is wondering when he's going to get time to go to another juggling convention...

also, did u mean that there is video footage of ronan talking about his routine,or that u just hope to one day hear what he has to say?

sorry if any of that seems like im moaning,i dont mean to be
