So my friend Laura invited me to her house. Well, she lives in this amazing house with like 8 other people and this rich dude who owns the most popular head shop on Haight Street and is majorly involved in Burning Man. I live near the corner of Haight St. and Asbury St. Which is why this district is called the Haight-Ashbury district!

The house is amazing. It is actually the house that was used as the model for the Addams Family house from the movie. Janis Joplin lived there. The Dead lived there for a while, I think. The dude who founded Satanism lived there. It's 5 stories, has like 10 bedrooms, and has a tower with the most amazing view of the city. Every room has lavish wallpaper and restored antiques. It's awesome.

I'll put pics in my gallery soon.

I love San Francisco.

The history of that street corner and its surrounding populace...

That sounds like a house I would love to see.

Who founded satanism? I always thought satanism had just developed.
And which dead are you talking about? confused
I really feel as if I was ... not understanding much. Kind of.

Satanism kinda did just develop, but I assume Doc refers to the founder of the Church of Satan, the first largely recognised, properly organised Church... Anton LaVey would be that man. Though it doesnt as such worship Satan, Satan is seen to represent mans inherent nature...

"The Dead" I'm going to take a punt and assume he means "The Grateful Dead" a 60s/70s rock band, all the other facts I know about them aren't suited to this forum.

oh, so there is a Church of Satan? That seems somehow ... paradoxical. Hm.

Thanks for the help, MNS!

Church of Satan boils down to survival of the fittest, not bent knees to the devil ;P
