Just wondering if anyone else was planning to make and resolutions or changes in the new year..

Personally, my resolution is to be a better friend, less needlessly sarcastic, more open, less shy and more forgiving. Hard to quantify really, but here goes smile

beerchug to you all for 2009, may this year be the best yet, but not the best to come. smile

A couple of balls short of a full cascade... or maybe a few cards short of a deck... we'll see how this all fans out.

Continue with poi. Hopefully drag someone else into it. (But that does not at all look likely.)

I have some New Year's resolutions, I think I mentioned some in my introduction, actually. I make New Year's Resolutions each year and the tradition works me. This is my first public list though, here it goes:

This year is about getting my act together -literally. Sure I have some good experience, but I could be so much more, I could do so much more... its time I do.sunny

So for 2009 I resolve to practice hard, learn new skills and get together an entertaining, safe professional act for street performance and shows. Maybe take some classes, if possible an build a collection of good props/effects/tools/toys (Whatever you want to call objects to manipulate and magical illusions.)weavesmiley

I resolve to be more social and make more friends. beerchug grouphug

Also, I resolve to finish the sequel expansion "The Lesser Arcana" to my open card/strategy game SpellCaster. Folks have been asking me for a while now.

Have a great 2009 Year of the Ox! peace

peace

This year i would like to get back to the basics, back to what makes me really happy, figure out what i really am looking for in a job and get it! (but i'm not going to worry about it...cause i worry too much as it is)

I would like to concentrate more on my artwork, playing guitar, spinning poi and singing.

I'm going to go out more, i'm going to meet some new people, i'm going to find a guy that i actually have things in common with, and i'm going to do some more backpacking.

and i'm going to get a hair cut.

good luck to me and to all of you!!

I have a stupidstition I need to get over.
I have a real thing about having peacock feathers in my home and/or on a costume.
I am going to get over that. I have a massive bunch of them across the room right now, staring at me ominously.
If the house doesn't burn down, then I will put them in a costume and perhaps even wear it.

I am taking up aerials this year as well.

I am also going to attempt to balance out the body art with the performing with the writing, because they are very out of balance right now.

I went to an aerial workshop, which was pretty much my first achievable resolution of the year. However, that has made me realise that I need to get a lot fitter, so I'm going to work in getting stronger/losing flab as post new year's resolutions. Any good advice appreciated!

My other resolutions:

finish my dissertation before the deadline in april

make myself more costumes

have a birthday party near my birthday

get out of the UK for a minimum of 1 week at some point (ie have a 'proper' holiday)

ugh... the year's only a week old, for goodness sake... it's WAY too early to be talking resolutions. who knows what the year may bring?

who am I kidding? I'm not going to make any resolutions, no matter how much time I allow myself. I don't like to plan... anything...

Resolution? Mmmm, I'll have ot think about that one.

I've had two months of, what seems like, no stress. I want to keep it that way.

I made resolutions and i'm now scared to make more tongue2

Two of my resolutions were to lose a bit of weight and to work on my abs.

Within a day of 2009, I come down with the most intense form of Gastro ever, to the point where I was admitted to hospital.

A week later my abs hurt like hell and i'm 2.5kg lighter.

No! It's good to put your plans out in the universe, you just have to say I'm going to not I'm going to try...

I am going to excell at my new hobbie grin

I am going to do great in school and get a wonderful job.

I am going to find new friends who are kindred spirits, maybe a boy...

I am going to get better at playing the harp!

I don't think that will bog me down too much this year.

I find that too much changes for me in year or that it is too short.

Pele's 101 in 1001 is something I am going to do instead.

Good luck for any with any though. smile
