Posted: The theme for 2009 BM is evolution. I can't think of any costume ideas!
I was thinking I could have one costume where I dress toe to head and the costume changes as you go up. Like the evolution of a bird or something. Maybe I should run around in cyborg armor with a broadsword. Hrm...

Posted: Come on, there are a million costumes you could do.
you could do the adam and eve thing....you could be a half man half monkey, or whatever the next step in human evolution is, an alien of sorts, you could be a cave man...
but i tend not to costume to the theme, i tend to costume to express myself at burning man. i have to costume for performances enough as it is

Posted: Yeah I didn't get it either, perhaps a reference to how stupid the MEDIA portrayed her, not her actual intelligence, which really is better than the average person. Not that I supported her, or Biden, but there were a lot of low blows that I thought were terrible.

methinks was an ironic refernce to 'Evolution' something ol' sarah probably doesnt agree with.
Im also considering heading to BM this year. Ive had a vague costume concept in my head for a couple of years which i never quite got around to developing. Ill call it the 'bicycle project' for the moment. I like the idea of combining a mode of transport with the costume.
Since ill be flying in - ill have to work out a way to create most of the outfit and a few key components, then spend a day modifying a cheap mountain bike when im over there. will post more details when i work on it a bit more.
My take on the Evolution theme - was in what cool ways could humans evolve? being a costume, my focus is on physical evolution (however if you can incorporate spiritual evolution in fancy dress by all mean go ahead!). Im thinking along the line of Hitchhikers Guide - Zaphods extra head, different limbs, skins, textures. whats that new computer game called? Spore?
anyway - ill do some more brainstorming in coming weeks.
