Maybe our lessons names are wrong.

You should email the person and suggest they put AKA names of moves off to the side when you click on each move.

Infact, HoP should do that.

Also I just realized flash is absolutly perfect for makeing demostration/lesson animations. To bad this page only used flash for flashy graphics and not for the lessons.

hey, i bought a friend a set of 'sonic stars' brand poi for christmas! they sell them in oddballs in Camden!

Also... their little flash character is called 'Minky', according to the homepage. I had a hamster with that name when i was ickle, didn't think it was an actual real name!

I like the animated girlie, particularly the way her breasts jiggle as she spins. that shows real attention to detail

i cannot compare other people's sources of excitement when i myself lose it over Llamas... ohhh Llamas...

on the topic of naming conventions -and of our 'expectations' that others adopt it.
to this issue, I take the Tibetan Buddhists view on multiple religions: that everyone is 'correct' in their own enlightenment.

these peeps have the right to name their moves whatever the hell they like -does 'Llama-geddon-butterfly-throw' striek a bell?- so long as they pay taxes and take baths.
dang hippies.

The only problem for arises during comparative study - but that's ok, cus *humbly* translating others' naming conventions from the safety of our own HoP-niverse is a much better prospect than the disappointment from expected other to speak our fire-tongue.

At the end of the day, there is no governing body over twirlin' (though HoP is DAMN close) so the adoption of THE naming conventions will still remain voluntary.

fire tongues are greasy.

I'ld have to agree with bender on this.
The way I see it Foward cross & follow is just a don't move just spin manouver
The backards cross & follow is do it in reverse but make sure your wearing sunglasses
The inner cicle is simply a matter of not burning your goaty off
The windmill is the hokey pokey but with hands & poi
And the wide windmill is 'as above' but lets shake a tail feather.
I do like the booby action though it should be called poi resoundance in a femme form.

So they are embedded flash files. What I meant was
cartoonish animations instead of video clips, because they are much much clearer for demostration purposes.

Edit:Also I wasn't confused by the cross and follow part, just the "dont move just spin" part
