OK. So here's the plan. I'm coming to Australia. I'll be coming on my own time with about 5 weeks to spare. I'm going to Christchurch for 3-4 days to visit some dude I know... biggrin

It will probably be around september-ish that I'll be going. I need to balance this against a planned trip to South America for some Spanish immersion that I desperately need.

Otherwise, I want to spend about one week in each place. That means four cities, five tops. I'll want to go exploring while I'm there. I can make side-forays, but nothing too extravagant. That means if you want to meet me, you might have to travel a bit. I understand what a pain that is; I live in a large country, too.

What four cities should I pick? Why? Where do you live?

There is one very important person, other than Malcolm, who I want to meet. I want to meet Taj. He's a true symbol of the spirit of this community and he's adorable. ubblove (Valura, honey, we need some photos, pleeze.)

So...where am I going? ubbrollsmile

Brenn, that's not a "need-to-see" list. It's a "who-lives-where" list.

So anyone can add themselves. My "need-to-see" list is private. So nyer!

(But you're on it.)

In other news, Rouge Dragon is sitting next to me and just lost. We've been losing an awful lot since I got here.

She says I'm a bad influence. That may be the nicest thing anyone's ever told me!

Hey Doc
We're thinking to have a get-together for you when you're here in BrisVegas.. how does Saturday 29th Nov sound?
Pool-poi type party in the arvo and fire party at night?
So don't go booking yourself out for major doofs or nights out in sin city. .till a bit later in the evening anyway wink

Well, Gabe, the other thing is that America's Thanksgiving is on the 27th. Except I fly from Perth to Brizzee that day. So I think the 29th would be a good day to move it to.

So I was going to buy all the Turkey Day fixin's and hijack Valura's kitchen to make a proper American Thanksgiving dinner for that day for everyone (because I love to cook) and then we can cap it off with some fire and other nonsense. How's THAT sound?

In other news, I am going to be going to ADELADE on Monday. And I need a place to stay. Volunteers?

Sure why not, sounds good to me any which way! We can all float around the pool with our bloated little pumpkin bellies waving thankx flags at the parrots. Aaaaah, lazy Sundays smile

Jed and I cleaned the spare room!! YAYS!!

So the spare room has a bunk bed in it now.. though I'm sure you can move the mattress to the bottom bit (it's currently on the top coz Jed is using that room to study.

Room will be nice and tidy for you!

Jed and I don't have much planned that week I don't think... it'll be post-exam week so I think there'll be much beaching and sleeping and relaxing... and sightseeing! tongue2

As said in the other thread.. Jed invited Mike (step-dad Mike) over for tea on Wednesday.. so either we'll move that or we may have to by-pass your tea-time fun. (or Gnor, you could move it, we steal Doc to meet other Doc tongue2 )

So, all is good! smile

I'm just settling into Ben's place in Adelaide.

To everyone in Melbourne, especially Petey and Rougie, who were kind enough to allow me to crash their homes, thank you all for meeting me, for making me feel welcome, and for showing me a good time.

So now that I'm Adelaide, who wants to meet me?
