So my girlie and I started taking Argentinian Tango recently and we can't quite decide if we like it or not. I know that the dance itself is really beautiful but I"m not sure about the Tango scene here in the US.
I used to swing dance and that was fun but I'm worried that the US Tango scene will be all old scary men rather than the cool hipsters that did swing dancing.
Is anyone here in the Tango scene?

Paso Doble is sexier than Tango, but Tango is more orange.
The coolest ballroom dancers do Lindy-Hop. (sp?)
IMHO There's an atmosphere of strictly regimented anti-creativity around ballroom dancing in general. Which is why I don't like it.
That and the fact I can't dance.
