I love my hoops as much as I love poi and staff and I noticed there was a few other hooping hoppers out there. So I thought HOP needed a hooping thread for us to chat about tricks and share our love for hoops. ubblove
I have been hooping for quite awhile now and have mastered quite a few tricks but I still havn't figured how to flick it up off the ground and move it up my legs. I can get it from my knees up but I saw this chic at the a circus and she had the hoops all on the ground and was bringing them up her legs one by one. It looked awesome.
I've got an idea of what I gotta do but havn't quite got it. I was wondering if anyone could give me any tips on this?
Thanks
ubblovemajik

my great vacuuming technique!

You can have a good vacuuming technique, but 'great vacuuming technique' can only ever be used for describing Freddy Mercury

*Scrolls up* Did I? No... I think I'd rather see the two of you dressed in Nutella. Actually, I don't even want to see that. I'd just like to KNOW that the two of you are covered in Nutella without actually having to see it. I think that would make me happy.

If we're making requests that is... ubbangel

Oops... We've turned this into an intro thread... sorry, habbit.

I love my psy-hoop. It did break once but was fixed.

It really looks cool but I often have to remember that I can't abuse it as much as my plastic ones.

And Ado, the cool kids out here tape GLOW BRACELETS to their hoops. They link them together into one long chain and then spiral it around as you would any tape pattern. They're cheap and fun. Some of them even put the connectors permanently on the hoop so they can just restick new ones in each time.

Not as good as jons five ball juggle hooping, not as easy as it looks ! It probably helps if you are a confident juggler beforehand ubblol

I just want to get to grips with that ankle spin bit and be able to flibble it back up to my knees.

Hello all:

I was wondering if anybody around here does hand hooping with small hoops. I don't mean off-the-body moves with a big hoop that one would throw in during a hoopdance set (like around the world or behind the back pass) but small hoops that never go around the body at all. I've been transferring some poi moves to hand hoops and it's been great fun and would love to share tips & tricks with others.

Oh and NYC: I love love love that Cirque video. That girl is amazing! Truly inspiring, though I think my contorting days are behind me... ubblol

I can do a hoop trick I think! It's lots of fun. Sort of a behind the back arm change thing, pretty cool for someone who can't even keep it around her waist!
