Honestly im having a hard time trying to figure out a way they could have made this more dangerous. The only thing I could think of is telling them to bath in fuel before spinning.
Ok I will admit that I have used denim as wicks. That was before I ordered Kevlar (should be at my doorstep in the morning or on monday) but I wouldn't ever do anything this crazy. I at least made proper cathedral heads. The only diffrence between my denim poi and poi sold here at HoP was the fact that they were denim.

Personally, I just trust anybody who chooses to deprive himself of one eye by having all weepy hair. Especially when they have more outtakes material than usable footage...

Thats a good idea.
Fire poi isnt just some cool party trick. I was doing a grad party and some of the people thought it was stupid. That is until they picked up my practice poi and within a few seconds they have already hit themselves in the head and few times and downed to the floor from a nut shot.

Well, some did think of using fibreglass. That's what my (and Knoxious) original staffs were made from in the mid 90's. It does work. Then it frays badly then disintegrates.
