You must check this out, before midnight this Sunday.

It's really freakin' funny.

Joss decided to give "hollywood" a big ol rude salute when the strike was on, and made this.
It's typical satire, tongue in cheek, out and out stupid...
I love it.

Enjoy!

I can't wait for the 3rd installment!
I am hoping I don't miss it. I'm at two events all weekend and won't even be back until late Sunday. GAH!

I know he's only made 3 episodes of this, and then he's going to release it for pay on a website and then on DVD.

Did you read *why* he did it? I think that's the best part of all.

Yup, good for him I say!!

I love Nathan Fillion ever since Firefly, and Neil patrick Harris is awesome, so the two together are certainly a good combination!!

Yay! Captain Tightpants in song!

Neil Patrick Harris has made a name for himself in musicals after playing the Emcee in 'Cabaret' as well as being a magician himself (on the board of some Magic Circle, or perhaps THE Magic Circle...)

For those who loved Buffy the Musical I had found a few youtube videos of Amateur stage versions - most reliably awfully enough to make me think I can do better!!

Instead MUCH more fun can be gleamed from this: -

Joss Whedon and Nathan Fillion are my first loves. biggrin

Cool to see that guy from How I Met Your Mother... he suits his role better than he does as some player.

FRD...that's Neil Patrick Harris, better known to many here as Doogie Howser (an annoying show from the 80's or 90's).
I like him on How I Met Your Mother but I agree, I think he was perfect as Dr. Horrible.

Mmmmmm...Nathan Fillion..mmmmm...

Didja notice the girl was one of the Buffy Slayer army? I hadn't until a friend told me.

I remember him best from "Starship Troopers", as the psychic chap.

And he does a good job playing himself in the Harold and Kumarr films.

I was a bit confused by the ending of Act 3

Yeah it was the girl who played Vi. In the finale she's the one who says "These guys are dust" when all their powers kick in as the ubervamps come charging up the cliff.

I love when Neil Patrick Harris does musicals. I've seen/heard him do a bunch of Sondheim, and he was great as the emcee in Cabaret. This project really suits his particular set of charms & talents I thought. Joss is a genius. A GENIUS!

Joss tends to leave things open ended, for sure. He's a smart cookie with alot of irons in the fire for furthering the adventures of Dr. Horrible.
I loved how DH finally became evil but seemed reticent about it. So well played.

Khan, where'd you see him sing Sondeim?*praying*pleaseletitbeonlinepleaseletitbeonline*
I have to agree, he was perfect. I have to admit I questioned the choice when I first saw the name but was sold immediately.
Yet again I bow to Whedon's infinite wisdom.

I have this image now of FRD in tights and a cape, one fist on his hip, one in the air with a giant FB on his chest.
I always knew FRD was his "cover identity".

I don't know if the stuff is online...I've seen a clip from Cabaret, but not the Sondheim.

NPH performed the part of Tobias in a concert version of Sweeney Todd with the San Francisco Symphony. His rendition of "Not While I'm Around," was just beautiful.

He's also recorded an obscure Sondheim work called Evening Primrose which I don't think has ever been produced live.

And he played Lee Harvey Oswald in a recent production of Assasins.

The funny thing is, I don't think of myself as a "show tune queen" and yet...

He's singing about how he's evil now and has no regrets... but the cutback shows that he does.

Not eloquently put... someone get my back!

Absolutely FRD, though I don't think it needed alot of eloquence because it showed through emotion.

Shocked the hell out of me, I might add!
