hey does anyone have a tried a trusted mulled wine recipe they use?

im having a small birthday shindig tomorrow - and since the forecast is for rain and cool weather (well by brisbane standards) i though id brew something warming.

googling of course yields 50 million different recipes - but id rather use a proven recipe.

thanks!

I've always thought of mulled wine as something that doesn't specifically *have* a recipe and that everytime you make it it changes slightly shrug

i would have changed ***** to phallus, and claire to petey Petey

Rougie: but that's what I'm doing here
Arnwyn: what letting me adjust myself in your room?..don't you dare quote that on HoP...

No, but I do have a simple, shortcut Mead recipe, it's supposed to be drank warm, anyhow...

If you want it, I'll post it in the HoP recipe book...

Rouge is right, mulled wine is recipe-less. Basic directions:

1-2 bottles of wine (dependent on number feeding) emptied into a large pot with about 1/4 the amount again in orange juice. Add brown sugar, ground nutmeg, allspice, cinnamon, ground cloves. Stew for ages. Add more sugar and spice. Stew some more.

The time element is the most important part of the process, otherwise you will just end up with hot wine. Which is not in the slightest bit tasty.

And happy birthday.

It was a day for screaming at inanimate objects.

What this calls for is a special mix of psychology and extreme violence...
