That's a special day.

1) It's my birthday

2) I have a one-way ticket from New York to San Francisco. biggrin

I can think of no better gift to give myself other than a little view of this as I descend into my new home:

I'm here. I'm finding apartments tomorrow. I don't move my stuff until next month, but I came here, and I found my heart in San Francisco. It's home and I'm here.

Tonight we went out and partied like I haven't ever done in New York. I kept running into old friends and making new ones. The club was this awesome garbage mix place. San Francisco is really into its music. The vibe is different. People are friendly to each-other. People try hard to please each-other. People smile a lot.

So far, it's everything I've hoped it would be. But on Monday, I'll get one more gift from this city; I'll get to hold my 2 1/2 mo goddaughter for the first time ever. ubblove

34 days until residency is over.

Well, I have an apartment. I'm not going to post the address because, while I don't live there yet, I will, but if you can google map Waller St. and Masonic St. in San Francisco, you can have a look around my neighborhood with the "street view" function..

And then map Haight St. and Ashbury St. Haight-Ashbury is widely regarded as the physical origin of the hippie movement.

Aw, this is a nice thread. I'm glad everything's going well for you, I'd love to go to SF, maybe one day when I have money. Enjoy yourself man, but stay away from the Haight and stay ever vigilant for the presence of hippies, they're no good people... smile

They're fine. They just smell a bit funny. And the boys can be hot (once you wash and groom them).
