its much easier to get to than you might think. all travel stuff is on the website
tickets are on sale, and are £35 until June 1st so don't delay in getting one cause they go up after. (incidentally that is the same price as last year

This really bummed me out, but I'm waiting to see if anyone organizes a minimeet during that time to make up for it.

I tried google maps, but it was taking me to random roads..
south coast of England was enough for me to find it: I always forget wikipedia though: I guess that's cos I get told off for using it at Uni
And yes, learning everything on the internet would be awesome! Although I'd probably keep on jumping out at people and offering them porn as a result

Lets clear this up
Swanage= rather nice coast in the south of England
Swansea= rather nice coast in the south of Way-yeles
Lets all camp somewhere in a similar bit of Wales and meet up during the day

Jem that could work... There are loads of campsites on the Gower and the beaches there are gorgeous, also if people could book individually we stand more chance of them not turning a large bunch of hippies away.
What if tomorrow I gather together a whole bunch of telephone numbers for a cluster of campsites down on the Gower and we arrange ourselves into groups of 4-6 and book in to the sites separately?

One of the most beautiful places in the UK! Its a bit pricey though! However you are right on the beach and it wouldn't be a mission to transport firewood into the sand-dunes each night. I'm sure they wouldn't accept large groups but its an option for a small meet up.

i was so looking forward to play this year.
its a shock for everyone but theres nothing we can do about it with the field in the swamp that it is in:(
i feel so sorry for dunc and everyone who has put so much effort into this year.
hopfully the weather wont be like this next year so we can make it extra special.me and louise think it should be taken back to fordhall farm it was well nice there:D

Fordhall Farm was a lovely place but there are many reasons why we'll not be going back.
But
Thanks to loads of people who rallied to help find us alternative locations we now have a literal plethora of possibilities for next year. Some even more beautiful than Fordhall and Workhouse put together!

Gutted. Just. Gutted. A big thanks to all the organisers for trying their hardest to make Play happen.
This was gonna be my only holiday this year and myself, OH and a couple of mates are still gonna have the time off work so hopefully can come along to some random meets if thats ok with folks.
I think this is even more reason for a get together for a hug workshop cos i really need one now

So do people want me to ring around a few campsites on the Gower to see if they have any spaces left for that weekend?
There is a campsite in Llangennith that doesn't take advanced bookings, you just have to turn up and take pot luck if there is space. It had 3 fields worth of space, but gets busy this time of year on the weekends. I'm guessing if we turned up on a Wednesday night it might not be so busy and a fair few of us would get in. Add to that there are other campsites just up the road, maybe focusing on the Llangennith area would be best.
