...the 2008 hippy ban...

This WILL be strictly enforced this year.
Anyone with dreads, an allergy to soap, a tendancy to embrace trees, funny smelling cigarettes, or more piecrings than limbs shall not be let on to site.

This will be a family occasion and we don't want to corrupt the children

Corruption of children distracting from the true purpose of the festival, which is to corrupt adults.

I will miss the Fordhall Farm venue but a change of surroundings is always usually a good shot in the arm!

Now need a job to quit for when I get back! wink

Pfff - as if there are any un-corrupted people left that come to Play.

Ahh good news indeed!

I like the idea of a new venue, although I do like Fordhall Farm. A change of scenary will keep everyone one their toes!

I would also like to formally request that we ban rain this year in addition to hippies and bring back the weather we had in 2006.

ooh and bring back the big tent we had in 2006 too, that was cool biggrin

Well done to the PLAY crew for organising this again. The last 2 years have been fantastic, keep up the good work!!

Judging by this ("how to survive the workhouse festival 2007 part 1"):

it looks like that site needs more than a formal request...

Not that difficult to get to. For Workhouse 2006 after Play, I did the train from Dunc's (Telford) and a bit of walking/hitching.
