I've searched thru posts but cant find out about glowballs now. Are these still one of the best lighted pois out there? I want to buy some good lighted poi and just cant find out what is best. I've bought different ones from hop but want something a little better. Any thoughts?? thanks!! Jeff

Sorry mate, but the HoP shop supports this forum therefore given that it's a product that HoP sells, you'll be hard-pressed to find the people here to suggest other products to you.

Jeff, I honestly looked and the best lights I have gotten are from HOP. There nicer then anything from Yoho toys and oggz are too expensive in my eyes. HOP's prices are just right for whatever I need, even if it is coming from NZ. Now I do have a pair from Yoho toys and I broke them in less then a month. My only problem is handles, I shred nylon handles really bad so I started making my own.

If you're on about the glowballs on the HOP site they're hop's own brand I believe (prob made in china or something) so you won't find them anywhere else.

I LOVE the glowballs from HOP, never had a problem with mine and as a novice, Ive put mine through hell and they haven't broken. They are also bright

The HOP glowballs are good, but I had a set break on me t'other week, the hook on top is formed out of the same soft plastic as the ball & can tear quite easily.
This being said, they're £5 each and I haven't found any that are significantly better for anywhere near that price. I'm going to fix my broken ones by putting the ball in a string bag & hooking that to my chains which should be much stronger.
I also ordered a new set with new strings & loops and they came with really flimsy split rings at the bottom, which is quite useful as that should go before the hook, and split rings are about 10p.
