Hi All,

Just letting you know tickets will be on sale as of 1st of June. We will be using a similar payment method as last year.

We have had a few confirmed workshops to go ahead:

* Yoga with Brenn in the mornings
* Ballroom Dancing with Haley
* Assorted styles of juggling (Balls, clubs etc with Christian and Sacha “for sure”
* Screenprint your own Souvenir from CG08
* How to dance like there's no body watching you.
* Basic Acro “for sure”
* Poi with Brett (what trick do you want to learn?) “for sure”
* Drumming

+ numerous spontaneous workshops

If you want to make a "for sure" workshop then please contact us and we will incorporate your preferred time and details into the timetabling on the Common Ground Website.

Our plan for this year is to have a semi-structured timetable of workshops - with lots of space for random underwear workshops and the sort like that smile

Please keep in mind that workshops DO NOT have to go for an hour - you might have a 20 min or half hour workshop because you just want to show one trick or transition. Is all cool.

Alternatively if you would like to run a 2 or 3 hour workshop for meditation or healing or just spin till you drop workshop (could be days wink ) – that’s ok too. Just tell us what you want, when you want to do it, and we shall try and program as best we can.

OK – back with more details on buying tix later this week.

Out.

Love and Light

If I was an eccentric millionaire, I'd buy all the tickets, and then I'd be the only one at common grounds! Either that or sell them a double the price... to people who can't even twirl!! MWAHAHA

Yeah, that tax is bull****, all it does is push people like me who aren't manly enough to drink spirits and who just like to have a few cruisers onto hard liquor, because it's cheaper.

*Edit: Manly enough, sorry

Not sure what 'many enough' means. but the alcohol in cruisers is the same alcohol as in 'hard liquor'. It's another way to flog it thats all. SO if you now buy bottles of the stuff, just pour less in your mixer to maje it less 'hard'. Easy. No one makes any one drink OR get drunk. (Actually, there is a ridiculous amount of peer pressure around it but that's not the government, that's pissheads= dickheads) I'm totally sick of drunk teens. And adults. And how boozed people wreck events. And relationahips and bodies and kids lives and the whole lot of it. I'd be quite happy if the substance disappeared off the earth to be honest. Even ginger wine wink if thats what it took.

Common Ground is cool though smile

Hey Guys - please keep discussion CG related smile -

Can I say that the thought of people firespinning at CG after drinking scares me, So I hope you will help me to spread the "Dont drink and do fire" message - remember there can often be young impressionable minds at CG.

Cheers,

Josh

I'm absolutely amazed that the CG team have kept the price down for another year. (NOBODY explain inflation to them!! shhhh!)
Event management must be hard enough without having to ensure that the most number of people can afford entry. The sheer number of interstate twirlers every year is such a strong vote.

NathanielEverist, if u loved the regard and interest that twirling get at confest, you're gonna totally dig CG.

Yeah, I loved confest, unfortunately though, I didn't see much of it beyond my tent, the fire-circle and the toilets due to the awesome fire-twirling happening there.

That said I'm looking forward to an event where I can indulge my addiction(s?) without feeling guilty for not socialising with my non-twirling friends.

And I'll be sure to stay well away from your tent during your business time™. biggrin
