Hey, in the spirit of Neon's thread about his travels, I haves makes one of my own, for ma up n'coming trip away from the work (handed in notice) and around the world... !!!

I'm excited...

I think my general plan is: Leave in March/April to New York... then SF... then across the big puddle, stopping on some tiny flec of an island on the way, to Aussie land and Singapore and Thailand and Japan for the NFF before slinking my way back home... next (09) year.

I wanna do tons and tons of spinning and learning, and meeting all the crazy bods from around the world who spin too... I'm bored of these UK spinners... wink

Well that's the plan.

There are festivals I would like to go to... like:

IJA – July 14-20th – AMERICA

BORNFIRE – June – SINGAPORE

Wildfire – June 5-8th / sep. - AMERICA

FireDrums – May 1-4 – AMERICA

Play – July/August – UK

EJC – August 2-10 – GERMANY

Common Ground – October – AUSTRALIA

MelJC – September – AUSTRALIA

JFF – September - JAPAN

JJF – August – JAPAN

BJC – March – UK

Berlin – june/july – GERMANY

531Con – October – FINLAND

campburnyourself – july – SWEDEN

and the ones I'm going to really try and get to:

BJC – March – UK

FireDrums – May 1-4 – AMERICA

BORNFIRE – June – SINGAPORE

Play – July/August – UK

EJC – August 2-10 – GERMANY

Common Ground – October – AUSTRALIA

JFF – September - JAPAN

I'm getting the feeling that zipping back to europe might not be so hot an idea... but well, we'll see...

Any advice, ideas and offers of couch's mucho appreciated and gratefully received.

Sweet! On a purely selfish note, i want you to be accepted, so there is at least on (almost) english speaking person at the JFF that I almost know! That would be nice. biggrin

So you're saying that while you're away in japan, I can borrow your apartment? wink ubblol

I have an apartment now??? Why have the tinfoil hat people not told me about this?!

It would be good to be in the company of English speaking peeps at JFF, so the feeling is (almost) mutual tongue

THere's quite a few of us Ozzies salivating about the JFF so there may be a few of us varyingly articulate types there.

Hey, you americans just don't understand proper english. (You should be glad bluecat didn't start talking in his weird proper scottish accent aka: doric. Then you would have absolutely needed the subtitles. So would I.)

And god knows what uncouth idioms and made up words they use down in aussie land.

Hi Meg, if you're planning to go to lots of different places, STA are the easiest and usually cheapest way to book multiple flights. I've found them most useful smile

yeah, I've used sta travel for the past two years. But there is always airlines that they don't use (usually for good reasons) so occasionally I'd buy a ticket directly from the airline. (Always for uk internal flights.)
