I didn't see exactly what I wanted already....

My poi have been very smoky over the last few months (3-4), and have been burning hot. My fuel has remained the same, the wicks have remained dry, the storage has remained the same...in short, I haven't been doing anything different, I can't think of anything obvious as to why they would be doing this.

I spin pretty regularly - at least every few weeks, if not every week in the summer, and have been using these for three years. They are not burned through, and don't appear ragged, or falling apart, but I am thinking its time to replace them?

They are cathedral kevlar wicks bought from here, with the 8ft of wick.

Thanks for any insight.

Sammy.

3 years... possibly then!
The last thing you want is for them to fall apart while lit.

I don't think so, but I will bring them in and check for the lines carefully tonight before I spin.

Sounds like they might need replacing either way --- hmm, think i know what I am getting for my birthday gift!
