Posted:After what seems like an eternity of fiddling with the design for the casings I'm almost there. I'm just waiting for some screws and buttons to arrive to double-check dimensions before I send off to the manufacturers and get the first prototype balls made!

Here's a couple of shots of the design as it stands:

How are you getting along? How'd your snowboarding go?

I'm just curious as to how long the Hyper's are gonna be? What's happened since the casings were 99%?

I've heard back from the plastics manufacturers but we're not quite ready for the prototype yet. That's still holding me back, but it's progressing. 'tis hard work fitting it all in with a day job which is currently asking me to do overtime frown

Posted:Right then, I got some time to work on the toys at the weekend and the design is once again in the hands of the manufacturers. I think I've got everything this time so with a bit of luck they'll be giving a green light on getting the prototypes built.

...um yes, still waiting. We realised the balls were going to cost too much to get going so we've re-thought the housing and come up with a cheaper alternative to get us off the ground (it's also a more compact design as it happens!).

Posted:you guys are KILLIN me! Haha. Well I think everyone will be happier to wait for a better product then to rush an expensive one out just so we can get our hands on them. Are you guys filled up on signing up to get the first pairs or can I still do that?

p.s. I watch the hyperlight take two video at least twice a day!

The plan is to make as many toys as there are people to buy them so feel free to sign up. We currently have about 250 registrations on the list. I shouldn't think all of them will necessarily buy a pair though, so the queue is probably a fair bit shorter than that smile

I believe I'm on that list and its really 50/50 as to whether or not I will buy them, it really does depend on my circumstances at the time.
