Sooooo, we (Burnt Toast) are putting on an Xmas show on the 1st December, but due to some incedibly annoying coincidences, none of our ladies can make it.

I'm looking for one or possibly 2 female performers to take part in a 15-min choreo'd show in Surrey.

I'd like you to be able to do a solo slot with something that isn't poi or staff; hoop(s), fans, clubs (but more than poi moves wink), er... other stuff - with fire.
There'll also be a bit of filler/ponceing with fire palms or clubs to learn - nothing too major, but availabilty beforehand would be a must, at least a few days before the 1st.
I'm looking for 1-or-2 short solo pieces (3-4 mins each) to go with our choreo'd stuff - the idea of it being solo is that it's much easier to slot in. But if you're a female duo with an act, do please get in touch smile
We're bascially booked for a 5-person show and I don't want it to be all guys, or even 4:1 really.

£5m PLI would be a ideal, £2m might be do-able. Insurance for fire is of course mandatory.

It's a winter/ice theme - so any suitable sound-tracks with your routine(s) would be a bonus. Costumes provided (at some stage smile )

If you think you might be able to help - do please drop me an e-mail at durbs (at) burnttoast.co.uk saying what you do, where you are and any other useful bits of info.

There's a mild sense of urgency about this, so erm RSVP ASAP biggrin

I would do this if it wasn't for the fact it was in surrey, and there is no way I can get off work to get down there enough.

In fact, its completely pointless me posting this at all.

Um, good luck with the quest?

Hope it all goes well, can we have a video? wink

Hah!! You think your reply was pointless? I'm not available either, and even if I was, I'm not available for pre-gig rehearsal...

(...This isn't the most pointless reply possible though, I do at least have the PLI)

Well, erm, yea... That's why my post was even less pointful than Holly's.

Nothing's ever quite as funny when it has to be explained, is it..?

Oh, and please don't call me "Nige", I'll let you off this time, but do it again and I'll.. erm... pretend I didn't hear you or erm...something...

just helping keep this quest bumped to the top really! good luck!

kind of like going to a restaurant/cafe isn't it... when you're not ready, you get bombarded with "are you ready" questions, and when you actually want to order, staff are nowhere to be seen.
