Yes and yes.

His name is Tyrone. He isnt too cuddly, mostly he just pokes me with sticks all day. Some times I'll give him a reaction to see what he does, it's fun to scare him. They eat a TON too like i can barley afford to keep him around. Wonder what ewoks taste like....

Never actually seen one, but I've heard them, hiding in the undergrowth making eecheewawa and jubjub noises, I'm pretty sure they were discussing native ewok recipes for spit roast sacrifices. But my ewokian is a little rusty.

Actually, the Star Wars universe is working on a working language, my like Star Trek has Klingon or LotR has Elvish. In this case, it's called Mando'a and it's the language of the Mandalorians (think Boba Fett. Now think of a harsher person with a sense of honour).

After that, hopefully Ewokian. biggrin

LotR has Elvish.

Shocking..
The Lord of the Rings has Sindarin and Quenya, not 'elvish'..

I'm a Star Wars fanatic, not LotR. In my defence, I wasn't sure if they had made both the Elvish languages or just the one... and I had no idea about the Dwarven one!

Jarle, seeing as Tolkien was a professor of ancient languages, so a bit obsessed, the languages actually came first- Middle Earth was a sort of language exercise that got a bit out of control...

Haha, I didn't know that. The most I know about him writing LotR is that it was heavily influenced by his own experience.

Apparently the Ewoks language is called Ewokese (my bad) and is loosely based around Tibetan.

Sorry to hijack the Wookie/Ewok thread, but I'm such a Tolkein geek..

The two languages are the 'High Elven'- Quenya (largely based on Finnish), and the more commonly spoken one, Sindarin (largely based on Welsh)- which is pretty much all that features in the LOTR.

I'll get back in my box.
