I just spent a lovely weekend in San Francisco.

For one weekend, I had a public transit system that told me when the next bus/train was coming. I never heard anyone spit a thickly-accented instruction to do something to myself that is probably anatomically impossible. I enjoyed glorious sunshine by day and cool sleeping weather by night. I had teahouses, relaxed little corner stores, and good friends to visit. Instead of finding myself constantly at the bottom of massive concrete canyons, I would regularly top a hill and enjoy a good view of the city and its environs.

I was in my own personal paradise. It was good to be home. biggrin

So yesterday morning I stood on Market St. at the Embarcadero in SF. I took a long, last look at the azure sky, and then descended the stairs into the BART station.

When I next stepped outside, I was in New York City. frown Back to the rat race.

So here's my dilemma. I have a 3-day weekend next month (this is truly unprecedented).

Do I:
1) Go back?
2) Visit a different city (Boston, D.C.)?
3) Entertain an out-of-town guest?
4) Sleep?

I think you should go back, you obviously had a really great time there... but then I suppose it depends on who the guest is... and how tired you are...

Im going back to Hastings for the weekend tomorrow.

I've only been in London for a month but I cant wait to smell the sea again!

Personally, I would go and visit another city. Take the time to go see somewhere completely new, take in the sites smile
