I've started playing with atomics. My newest trick is a 3 petal flower in wallplane vs. corkscrew. Thanks Lucas!

Hmmm.... Should try that....

Stally and pendulumy stuff in general, no real moves.

Its... I dunno. Its an inverted huggie/waistwrap type thing...

Pineapple_pete showed it to me who was in turn shown by bluecat, so either of those two guys should be able to shed more light on what it really is than I can.

Poi comes up, goes through one arm hole, behind my body and then out while the other poi does the same thing on the other side...

I think its just an inverted waistwrappy thing...

I think its relationship to a huggie is that if a straightjacket has one poi inverted, this has two... But I don't really know, I'm still kinda confused by how to define it!

Any help from anyone who can shed light on this? smile

Sorry, I did make the vid, but didnt have time to upload it because I was heading off to go camping. It was super rushed, so I'll just make another one with a little more time and thought.

But I learned a really funky new plane change that I had been working on. I'll throw it up in the plane change inspiration thing you requested on the other thread, Stout.

Day after tomorrow at the latest. grin

What are "neck and knee tracer hybrids"? I've been playing with the "extension and trifoil variations" lately (uh, like trifoil vs. horizontal extension, and uh, like a 360 trifoil vs. vertical extension, ya know?). but this "neck and knee tracer" stuff is not langauge I'm familiar with. Care to enlighten me?

=)

A tracer is more of a glowsticking type move.
You do a wrap on whatever body part it is neck//knee//elbow//foot etc
and drag your hand around the limb in the other direction.

the first guy in this vid does a neck tracer extension hybrid at about 24 seconds in.

I'll try to describe what i started to do lately (and idioticly thought it was "almost impossible move")

spin synchronicly backwards at your sides (just like when yuou start to learn 3 beat weave bacwards )
then you throw your poi synchronicly horizontally and push your handles a little bit so they make 75% of circle while going up and down - thaey should look like this one moment before catching:

O-------==-------O

where
O head of poi
- chain (or stuff like that)
= handle

at tis particular moment you catch those handles with one hand and (thanks to gravity) you start to do one handed butterfly (outward) - this i can do

or:
you go to one handed trifoil or cat eye with outer circle - dont know what's the name of it - it's in my latest movie but two handed - 4:30 (or something like there)
this one i can't do ......YET wink

Butterfly line isolations(extended cateye motion, split time) that go from horizontal then upward diagonal to a top point and back down the same diagonal line to get to the horizontal again.

All poi to poi combinations are possible, split time, same time, opposites, same direction but some will bend brains more than others. (I only have the butterfly ones reasonably consistant)

Even the stuff below is possible but none of this is anywhere near consistant for me.

Dunno if this is considered as advanced,

Learned 4 petal antispin / extention hybrid.

Opposite direction wallplane flowers w/ extentions. Split time antispin butterfly flower too grin

Also got down antispin weave smile

Have started toying with isolation/extention hybrids.

They're not nearly as impressive as most of the things being mentioned here, but because they're not part of the beginner forum, here's where I pat myself on the back for figuring out forward and reverse four beat thread-the-needles, a butterfly crosser (not perfect, but it works), and for improving my upward stalls. Go me.

Now if I can just get that damnable behind the back weave...

I just figured out how to turn in the middle of crossers, a couple of different ways. Whee! And this is without seeing anyone do it before, so it makes me feel like I'm starting to understand what I'm doing.

How can you do a 3bt crosser?

Genuinely curious here, because I figured that most crossers were inherently 2 beat?
