Just wondering, if you were to get up and do karaoke somewhere, what song/s would you perform? I got up and sung last night (Thanks to beer) and I sung 'To be with you' by Mr. Big. I didn't do too badly either! ubblol

So...what would ya sing? smile

Hey miss Tiger - fancy meeting you again so soon!! smile

The last time I did Karaoke (in Japan on business trip) I sang mostly Simon & Garfunkel - Daniel, The Boxer, Sounds of Silence and Bridge over Troubled Water.
From memory, I was also roped into a couple of Beatles songs.

Shh.... don't tell anyone but my guilty pleasure is belting our Anastacia - gotta love those power ballads biggrin

But the last one I did was 'Standing in the way of Control' - The Gossip. Don't know what it sounded like but I enjoyed singing it

best song ever to kareoke to is I will Survive.

I usually stick with sublime or cake(if its an option) or talking heads. i dont really kareoke that much because i never really listened to the songs that are always on the list.

Haha interesting variety there. I just got back from another karaoke night and I sung Travelling Soldier by The Dixie Chicks!

I used to go for anything by Oasis.

Last time I was 'forced' to sing someone else chose the song for me; 'I'm just a girl' by No Doubt :blackeye:
I did it justice though smile

I used to, sorry... still love karaoke!

I remember first time was stuff like Garbage and Placebo and Radiohead. But since then I've unleashed my inner diva and prefer stuff you can REALLY belt out.

Favourites include

Lady Marmalade - (Moulin Rouge version)

What's Up - 4 Non Blonde.

Holding Out for a Hero - Bonnie Tyler

Oh So Quiet - Bjork

I leave the 'serious songs' alone because I really don't wanna ruin them. Plus strangely because I'm a Bass I find it hard to find a male song I can do as most male-songs are tenors and are beyond my key and if I transpose it down my voice goes so deep it's almost inaudible (like a reverse dog whistle). it's strange but there ya go!

I love the song 'When Tommorow Comes' by the Eurythmics, or Missionary Man. Thats first tow second choice, then its probably Open Roads by Carys Mathews, but I dont think my voice would suit that much
