hi all..

ive just found out this weekend im able to apply for 'Australia's got tallent'.. as many of you know, its gone all around the globe in its various forms, but i didnt know about it until recently.

basically, im wondering if anyone thinks i should do it. im on the train of thought that ive got nothing to lose smile

also, for those who know my repetoire, im not going to go about fire twirling, squeezing through a squash racket or getting out of a straight jacket (theyve all been done) am leaning towards my freaky stuff that makes my mum go EWWW (such as my broken glass and the tube through my head)

thanks a bunch for your opinions, petey hug kiss

at the moment im leaning towards no, unfortunately. (if i got in) it appears it could severely mess with my schooling next term (thats also one of the most full on terms for me) it could also cause me to miss exams or be distracted come exam time.. hmm

Try it!!!

You have to get over the first hurdle of getting through auditions before you have to worry about schooling and exams. And should you get accepted for further rounds (which, I'm certain you would!), I'm also certain you could discuss an alternative schedule with your teachers for studying and exams!

*MASSIVE HUGS*

G'luck if you do try out!!!

Kath; he's doing his high school certificate which isn't flexible for anything other than deaths or severe illnesses.

Individual teachers may grant extensions for class work, but the exams are government-set and therefore won't shift for auditions.

Pete; are there chances of a subsequent season?

If it messes with your school no it would not be worth it.
But if you have free time and can have a go it would definatly be great experiance ie. working in a different location, with differnt people, learning how to devise an act for a stage audiance that kind of bizzo. Plus you would probably come out of there with some nice promo footage.

Also from what i have heard the lady that is organising the auditions is keen to have some more bizzare things on there

Well, I don't know, silly! My understanding of Austrailia involves lots of kangaroos, emus, koalas, crocodiles, dijer.... dige.... diggigi.... (however you spell "digeredoo?"), Steve Irwin, and Paul Hogan. I don't anything about the school and exam systems there other than I had always assumed that Austrailia must have schools. redface

.... oh, and dingos.... I totally forgot about the dingos. ubbrollsmile

But on topic, Petey i think you should definately consider it, even if it cant be this season. Then try for another. Like everyone has said, its great exposure. Personally i'd prefer to see yourself rather than a person playing music with a gum leaf or a piece of fruit!!!! ubbrollsmile

aight, so ive called them. apparently they want me to audition and an invite only thing, in a few weeks time. so, i guess that leaves my weekend open for going away.

also, i found out that they would be lenient for serious things such as exam etc..

thanks again for your input everyone

Do your card thing if you have time too man. Freaky card thing.

Actually, I remember watching I think Pyroptix and friends on it? He was good on one of the newer COL vids I think.. They bombed, unfortunately- judges didn't like them at all. I think audience interaction is a big thing to watch.. Good luck dude!!
