Went to a LAN party one time, and someone left their computer unattended. They came back to find themselves subscribed to alt.sex.fetish.hamsters.and.duct.tape.

I'm glad I don't have to associate with those sick wierdos any more since I've found HoP (take that as you will wink ).

00101101 is "-" in ASCII and "45" in decimal if that helps.

I assume that "8-bit crash the system 00101101" refers to a buffer overflow using that binary number... maybe even simply "-", in order to crash the system and drop out with root access.

Or so I think...

Two things I learnt:
1) USE LINUX and learn Unix.
2) Dont have a picture of yourself as your avatar wink

Huge difference between anime and echi hentai.

Inserting a '-' into a text stream that is passed to a unix program would result in the following character being interpreted as an option for the program, possibly usable as a way to make changes to the system. Stripping special characters in php and other scripting languages is one of the first lines of security defense. If you can bypass the testing by injecting binary/hex code versions instead of a text character that's being searched for, you can bypass the security.
