the second Australian Uber Event....Fri 24 - Sun 26 August 2007





Where?

2UberOz will be held in Brisbane, Australia.

At a large airy school rec hall that opens onto playing fields, with cosy social space at the scout hall next door. Plenty of camping/van space. 15mins from city centre, a few mins from rail, bus, shops etc.



Who? What?

Teachers so far include:



**YUTA** (Tokyo poi ninja) with his partner, Asuka, a trained contemporary dancer



**Dave Knox(ious)** (FlameOz etc...)



**aBlazin' Grace Billings** (FlameOz & Beijing Circus school!)



**Kyle McLean** (www.everyoneishappy.com) with a slithery team of contact movers and groovers



**Matt 'Wibbler' Terry** (Sphercular Vision)



**madjuggling Mark Douglas** (Sydney Juggling Convention)



** Davy Sampford (Circa)



** Trickswap sessions on hoops, contact juggling, etc hosted by participants



YAY



As well as Uberclasses in poi, staff and other juggly toys... there will be a strong theme around movement, choreo and self expression. Lots of seriously fun group movement sessions, interactive VJing and party time so come on up/down/over/under for a wicked weekend.

Prices range from

$ AUD 120

to

$ 50,000 at the door (we want you to pre reg...)



Price includes camping, workshops, fuel. Also, yummy lunches, to save you time, money and energy.

nup i got mine yesterday :P we watched it tonight, the video booth really should have been called the Brett booth like damn so much brettness :P

wicked job on the editing most definitely worth the wait
the standard was "intimidatingly high", except for that brett guy ... he was pants

I kinda wish I didn't watch the DVD now, gives me a sense of unimaginable regret that I didn't wake it to Oz a few weeks earlier...

Aha, I knew someone would ask me that sooner or later!
We made them as a home movie souvenir for people who were there; but I have a few copies left that I could sell on to people who were not there.

I think Paypal would be the easiest way to do international transfers. I have a Paypal account but I'm not sure how to use it (yet). Will have a look at that in the next few days.
Meanwhile PM me your mailing address, Olive and I will mail you one. We can figure out the pay stuff later.

Maybe I am a teensy biased cos of recognising the trees but I think the fire party section is particularly stunning. Really shows the feeling of it, the human side of spinning fire. There's one shot of Chinta (who was 12 at the time) doing hoop that just melts me! Yuta's not bad either.




agreed... pretty much every time chinta (cheers, cos I'd forgotten her name) picked up a spinning toy, she amazed me...

My friend and I have a running joke of putting a gutter-mind bum-joke spin on the term "in the end". Seems to work no matter what the context. (eg "should we get the bill in the end? that curry got me in the end") Hard enough to get those sleeping bags back in the bag let alone... Eek!



LOL Gabe I love the way the 2UberOz dvd was intended to be a souvenir for those who went but it ended up on the shelves in the festival shop at Woodford!
