Posted:Ok, if you are using 100mm wick you would construct your firerope dart like this:

1)Get a 13cm long hollow metal pole.
2) Wrap your wick around one end of it.
3) Secure the wick on using wire or something.
4) Drill a hole right through the metal pole, both sides, 1 cm down from the end which doesn't have wick around it.
5) Get a metal chain, roughly 30cm long.
6) Stick one link inside the hollow metal tube, the end with the holes.
7) Stick a bolt through the metal pole, through the chain, and out the otherside of the metal chain.
8) Put a nut on the end.
9) Hit the end with the nut with a hammer, hard. This "musrooms" out the end of the bolt, to stop the nut unscrewing.
10) Attach the other end of the chain to your rope.
11) Spin away!

Posted:I'll help you with the rope Rob. That's a a good construction idea though, I might use it for the street darts.

Posted:Yeah, it's the best way, cause you still have the fluid movement of a rope, but you don't get it melting through the rope and the firehead flying off. tongue

Posted:I mean the tube core part, Mine has a cathedral head. I've never been sure of how to attatch a tube core head to any of the dangly fire toys.
