4 days to Bristolification,
Anyone know whats the easiest way to get to conventionland?

ubbrollsmile

Where are you travelling from and how? That might make a difference to the answer you get... (Cos "In my car, I'm going to point it in the right direction" doesn't help you much... wink )

Ronan, you should be able to get a bus from the airport to the bus station and a bus from the bus station to the convention. Either that, or beg a bristolian to pick you up wink

Get to the middle of Bristol by the Airport-Bristol bus, then get on the bus to Thornbury and make the driver tell you when you've reached Woodhouse Park. Then get off the bus cos you're there...

Workshops aren't done much in advance, you look at the blackboard when you get up and decide if there's anything you want to go to today.

First weekend is very quiet and low key and the friendliest cos everyone knows everyone else. Gets gradually busier during the week, and notably busier on Friday...

Wednesday night is fire night, this year Chimaera will be doing "Secret Garden", there'll maybe be more fire stuff happening too.

Thursday is the Bristol poker tournament, texas hold 'em, £5 entry, prizes (the cash divvied up) to top three finishers.

Friday is main show night. Nobody knows who's in it yet cos that gets sorted out there.

And that's about it.

HTH...

Remember it's World car free Day next Saturday so everyone MUST stay till Sunday!

To Lizzybeth: Saturday afternoon is The Games. Also not to be missed! Best bit of the whole convention.
