Hahaha, the best bit is when all the newbis skate round the rinks hand and hand... and you duck under their hands... works even better if theyre a couple...

It definately one of those things for me that if I don't use it, I lose it.

When I was a kid I used to figure skate, now I can go but nothing fancy or speedy.

Hmmm...methinks a skate trip is in order. smile

ice is cool, but gimme somenice smooth tarmac I prefer my skates with wheels, got an old pair of hockey skates in my loft somewhere though from back in the day when I used to ice skate.

A couple of balls short of a full cascade... or maybe a few cards short of a deck... we'll see how this all fans out.

I hadn't skated for about 12 years, until last weekend when I got to go skating round this ice castle, on Lake Louise... https://www.banfflakelouise.com/icemagic/

I was amazed I could even stay on my feet, having not skated for that amount of time, but after the first wobbly minute I felt almost right at home again.
It was a beautiful place to re-learn!

Yeah it's by asda on the ring road..you know with the sports village. It's LOADS bigger than the christmas one and they do sessions for 2 hours. But try and get there at least 15 mins before the session starts cos they'll only let so many people in at a time.
