Would you care to reword that - possibly without the vaild question bit - so that people could reply to it.

As, right now, it reads as really angry. If you tone it down it could be a decent thread.

Meh

I think what our friend is saying here, is why cant we have some sort of hybrid apple orange, that doesnt have a peel or pips.

therefore, you can pick up hybrid orange, and just munch into its juicy sweetness without having to peel it first! yay!

Personally, i'd be a bit worried if i was taking a bit bite of an Orple... (sounds like a little furry critter...)

Perhaps an Appange?

I think the fruit need to be from the same family. ie both from citrus family

There are lots of stone fruit hybrids:-

Plum + Peach = Pleach
Plum + Apricot = Plumcot
Nectareen + Peach = Peachereen

*plus others I cant think of

Personally I don't like the hybrids.... they taste sort of mixed up

So much fire, so little body hair...

You could try freezing your orange. Frozen Oranges are great.

It doesn't make it like an apple but it makes it less like an orange. Does that help?

But apples have pips/cores and so are still a moo-haa to eat.

A pith-less orange without skin would be good...

It's very simple, really. If we crossed apples and oranges, people wouldn't be able to tell others that they are comparing apples to oranges anymore. We can't just run around blithely endangering English expressions, now, can we?

Rather than just sit around complaining about fruit, i've decided to take matters into my own hands. This is a copy of a letter i've sent to God. I couldn't find his address, so I folded it up and hid it under a filing cabinet. If he's all he's cracked up to be, then he'll be able to find it.

Dear God,

I've been getting frustrated by fruit that don't comply to the geometric shapes they're meant to be.

Oranges should be spherical. Clearly thats the shape they're attempting to conform to. However their attempt is rubbish. Most oranges are bumpy dimpled and vaguely misshapen.

I demand standard spherical oranges from now on. If you could implement this immediately I would be most grateful, and would also have to concede that contrary to my current position, you do in fact exist. And if you make them easier to peel it would be nice too.

I've eaten a fruit that was half apple and half pear before. It had the cirspness and freshnes of an apple and the taste of pear.

I'd be happy with and orange that tastes like an orange these days. Most the ones I get these days taste like heartburn.

I live in a world of infinite possibilities.
