BJC 2007 will be held at Harvey Hadden Sports Stadium (map) (satallite), Bilborough, Nottingham between the dates of 11th –15th April 2007. This will be the 20th BJC and the second time it has been held in Nottingham, the first being ten years ago.

BJC 2007 is held for all types of circus style performers: from hobby jugglers to professional entertainers. We welcome all types of acrobats, aerialists, street entertainers, circus performers and object manipulators.

BJC 2007 is a place to attend workshops to learn new skills, improve on old skills and meet old friends and make new ones. We have various shows on in the evening as well as different forms of entertainment: bands, DJs, fancy dress, films, etc. There is a big show in the Royal Concert Hall on the Saturday evening after the Juggling Olympics and a parade through town.

BJC2007 is proud to announce that we will be hosting the World Juggling Federation UK Open Championchips (WJF UK), the first ever British Balloon Modelling Convention (BBMC1) and the World Juggling Video Federation (WJVF)

13.6 miles according to Google maps. But from what I can tell, you have to get a bus into Nottingham and then back out to Bilborough, but I reckon it shouldn't take too long.

That's what I'm hoping anyway smile. See you there!

the 28 is the best way cause it takes less time going down ilkeston road, whereas the 35 takes you round the opposite side of the city centre before turning back towards bilborough (besides the 28 has a bus stop right outside harvey haddon). unfortunately i think it's gone up to £1.40 but i'll have to check.

ok buses are still £1.30 it's just the other bus company in nottingham (trent barton) has increased it's fairs to £1.40 and they tend to copy each other, but for now nct buses (28, 35) are still £1.30, but by the time of the BJC they might have gone up. if they do, i'll tell cause let's face it, no-one wants to get caught out without that extra 10p now do we? rolleyes

i remember when it was 80p!

kaleidoscope_eyes, I went to the BJC (in 2005) about 2 weeks after I'd learned to juggle. I was a n00b for sure and I could hardly do anything at all. If nothing else you will have an amazing time sitting in the middle of the hall watching everyone, meeting cool people and lapping it all up. Juggling is optional - I'd say you should come, for sure! biggrin

Crap, due to a combination of various things, I've just missed the pre reg frown

Since non-pre reg tickets are £70 plus an extra £60 for the balloon modelling, it looks like I'll be missing out on the balloons this year frown frown

I can make a fully supporting balloon bra and a clockwork mechanism from balloons, but there's always more to learn smile
